Off-pump coronary artery bypass graft surgery. 89 year old man with unstable angina. Known to have 3-vessel coronary artery disease. Previously refused elective coronary surgery to 3 weeks prior. Day prior to surgery readmitted to hospital with worsening symptoms with repeat coronary angiogram showing interval occlusion of the left anterior descending artery, which is a poor surgical target. He was happy to then undergo surgery as he was confined to his bed as any activity provoked further angina. Surgeons: Dr Cheng-Hon Yap and Dr Michael Seitz.
