Cormatrix Patch Aortic Root Enlargement
Case description
Dr. Erik Beyer performs an aortic root enlargement with CorMatrix and an aortic valve replacement with a bioprosthetic valve. CorMatrix is a naturally occurring extracellular matrix biomaterial that supports native tissue repair and is widely used in cardiac procedures. This particular patient had a small annulus which needed to be enlarged in order to place a larger valve. This video shows the highlights of the procedure.
