Dr. G Buvaneswari is one of the founding members and the Medical Director of GBR Fertility Centre and Hospitals, Chennai. The GBR hospital has got recognized as one of the best IVF Fertility Clinics in the country. The hospital has various branches – Chromepet, Chennai (Dr. Rela Insitute & Medical Centre, a multispeciality hospital), Tirupattur, Vellore Dist., TN, Nellore in Andhra Pradesh, and also in Colombo, Sri Lanka. An alumnus of Christian Medical College, Vellore, India, she has over 20 years of experience in infertility management. She is considered one of the best caring obstetricians in treating recurrent miscarriages and high-risk pregnancies. Her interest is focused on Preventive Reproductive Genetics to save future pedigrees.

Her passion is to give solutions to patients with impossible rare diseases without hope. For example, she is currently working on a Uterine transplant for people born without a uterus or lost at a younger age. Another field of her interest is in Regenerative Medicine with Stem Cells for people with premature ovarian failure and Azoospermia (no sperms) to bring them the chance to have their biological child.

She is a visiting consultant as a Gynaecology Doctor at various leading hospitals in the city. Having carried out over 5000 cycles of IUI/IVF/GIFT/ICSI, she has a high success rate well above the average industry standards. Her extensive range of clientele includes intended parents from India and abroad. She successfully treated the first Russian couple, who had their test-tube baby in Chennai and the first Russian couple to deliver twins through IVF treatment.

In her previous assignments, she has been a part of the infertility teams in CMC Hospital, Vellore, CSI Rainy Hospital, Chennai, Apollo Hospital, Chennai, and Mothers Love International Fertility Centre & Research Foundation, Chennai. She has undergone training and has acquired the requisite skill and expertise from various prestigious medical centers across the globe – Bourn Hall Clinic, Cambridge, UK, Kiel School of Endoscopy, Germany; Gleneagles Hospital, Singapore and CMC Hospital, Vellore, India.

She attended World’s first Uterine Transplant summit at BAYLOR UNIVERSITY in Dallas, USA, in 2020. She has to her credit, an appreciable number of papers & posters presented at various infertility, Obstetrics, and Gynecology forums and conferences. She is an active member of the Tamil Nadu & Pondicherry Chapter of the Indian Society of Assisted Reproduction (TAPISAR), Indian Medical Association (IMA), Federation of Obstetrics & Gynecology Society (FOGSI), and Indian Society of Assisted Reproduction (ISAR).
