Case description

This video shows a greenlight XPS prostate surgery for the treatment of male BPH performed by Dr. Kevin Zorn.

In step 3, use of the created grooves allows the surgeon to work along the surgical capsule at 180W. Slow sweeping is suggested to ablate tissue efficiently. In the current video, a great deal of the patients obstruction is caused by the median lobe and high bladder neck. Removal of floor tissue is performed by further release of the adenoma along the surgical capsule plaine while at the same time vaporizing tissue at full power. This reduces deep thermal damage along the surgical bed and minimizes residual tissue. Thus, a better wound which can heal faster (less irritative symptoms and dysuria). In the event that the tissue is dense and does not vaporize well, the surgeon can also vaparo-resect or enucleate small pieces into the bladder for later retrieval.

In summary, this video highlights the key aspects of "TREATING THE COMPLETE FLOOR", from bladder neck to verumontanum.
