Case description

This material demonstrates a transrectal ultrasound-guided implantation of the adjustable continence therapy (proACT) - surgical technique and clinical results after a mean follow up of 2 years. The ProACT system is an adjustable permanent implant designed to achieve continence through increased outlet resistance in male patients with stress urinary incontinence after radical prostatectomy. It is implanted during a mminimally invasive procedure with modest patient discomfort. Furthermore, the device can be easily and non invasively adjusted to reach the proper level of urethral resistance required for the individual patient.
