Case description

The following video presents a new technique of laparoscopic nephroureterectomy. Laparoscopic nephroureterectomy is a relatively new procedure with promising early results. It is a minimally invasive surgery that minimizes surgical morbidity for the patient. Nephroureterectomy is considered the criterion standard for the treatment of large, high-grade, and invasive tumors of the renal pelvis or proximal ureter. It is also indicated for large, multifocal, or rapidly recurring, low-medium grade, noninvansive tumors of the renal pelvis or proximal ureter. Laparoscopic nephroureterectomy was first reported in the literature by Clayman and coworkers in 1991.
