Case description

The following material shows a robot-assisted laparoscopic partial adrenalectomy for pheochromocytoma. Adrenal pheochromocytomas arise from the adrenal medulla. Patients are often symptomatic due to catecholamine secretion by these tumors. Laparoscopic adrenalectomy has become the standard of care in surgical treatment this patients. Adrenal pheochromocytomas are located centrally and deep within adrenal medulla. The cortex is not usually involved by tumor. Tumors are well demarcated.
