Robotic Partial Nephrectomy – Ischemia Reducion Due To Early Unclamping Method Application

This video shows robotic partial nephrectomy - early unclamping technique. Partial robotic kidney excision- with the early unclamping method is often used to reduce ischemia. This patient with 4 cm left lower part mass was operated. Partial nephrectomy was originally offered only to patients with a solitary kidney, bilateral masses, or poor renal function. Gradually, partial nephrectomy became the standard of care among patients with renal masses smaller than 4 cm, and many surgeons argue that partial nephrectomy is currently the standard of care regardless of tumor size, when technically feasible.
