Case description

Anatomic pulmonary resections with inflammatory sequelae especially such as calcified lymph nodes blocking the hilar structures are usually a contraindication for VATS lobectomy and one of the most frequent reasons to convert. These cases are the most difficult thoracoscopic lobectomies and only should be performed by experienced VATS surgeons.
