Case description

Youssef proposed that unique medical theory(Youssef’s Technique2 ), Synovial Fluid Mobilization Therapy (SFMT) aims to teach physical therapists a new manual method that stimulates the movement of synovial fluid within the joint, thus reducing its viscosity. It is a non-surgical method for treating osteo-arthritis. This technique is based on stimulating the circulation of synovial fluid in the joint through physical principles (hydrodynamic principle) to reduce the viscosity of the synovial fluid and thus reduce friction, reduce local inflammation and thus treat osteo-arthritis. This is considered a definitive treatment for osteo-arthritis. This is because the technique not only works to reduce the viscosity of the synovial fluid, but also works first to stimulate the synoviocytes to produce hyaluronic acid, which is the main and fundamental factor in increasing or decreasing the viscosity of the synovial fluid.
