Case description

The vascular tumor in this case filled most of the middle ear but was not invading the mastoid or the skull base. The use of a good small bipolar forceps is paramount for a one-handed surgery. After the removal, an endoscopic inspection is performed to exclude remaining tumor fragments at the "hidden spaces". Neither a retroauricular incision nor a mastoidectomy were performed.
