Case description

Seroma ia a collection of fluid within the subperichondrial layer of the pinna. Patients usually present with a painless swelling with some tightness (depending on the amount of fluid formed) with normal overlying skin. Aspiration of the fluid formed followed by a course of antibiotic, tapering dose of oral steroid, and oral anaelgesia are usually given. In some cases, repeat aspiration would be necessary if significant fluid collection reformed. Pressure bandage is required in some.
