Case description

This is a traditional "canal wall down" mastoid cavity of the right ear. The tympanic membrane can be seen in the 3 o'clock position. The remnant of the inferior portion of the posterior external auditory canal wall can be seen in the 6 o'clock position. Note in the cavity itself a collection of keratin and ceruminous debris which can be seen in the 8 o'clock position posteriorly.
