Arthroscopic Meniscus Repair
Case description
Arthroscopic repair of a medial meniscus tear presented by E. Edward Khalfayan, MD. The movie contains graphic surgical images. During the arthroscopy shaver was used to provide more bleeding, which stimulates healing of a meniscus. Sutures were used to compress edges of the tear together and to provide equal tension on on the edges of the tear. The procedure ends with checking stability of a meniscus.
