There are many types of fractures, however the main types are described as either displaced, non-displaced, open and closed. Displaced and non-displaced fractures refer to the way the bone breaks. Incomplete fractures are: hairline fracture and greenstick fracture. Complete fractures are as follows: transverse fracture, oblique fracture, bending fracture pattern, butterfly fracture pattern, spiral fracture, comminuted fracture. The open fracture differs from the closed one, by the fact that skin is not penetrated. The video contains schemes that helps to understand the mechanism of each fracture.
