Case description

Video presents a complication during ophtalmological surgery - a small posterior capsule rupture during capsule polishing. Injection of the three-piece IOL into the eye with the haptics in the sulcus is performed. Next steps is capture of optic behind / through the capsulorhexis. A good 5 mm capsulorhexis and care to maintain the position of the IOL is the crucial requirement in this technique. The IOL optic acts as a barrier between the vitreous cavity and the anterior segment. An excellent visual result without complications can be achieved by the use of this procedure. Prevention of collapse of the anterior chamber is an additional, very important element of the surgery.
