Intramyometrial Cyst (Adenomyosis)
Case description
Sometimes ultrasound in the OR is crucial, especially in some cases like this one where a suspected intramyometrial cyst ( Adenomyosis) was expected and the uterine cavity looked absolutely normal, if you look closely you will find a small bluish spot on the fundal area where I had to dig and insist digging to finally find the cyst and drain it. Most of the time such a hysteroscopy can be considered as normal, and nothing done and cyst will stay there after surgery which creates a disappointment from patient side.
