There is little doubt that to address the needs in health, whether pandemic preparedness, chronic disease, child health or environment, global and multi-sectoral collaboration is necessary. MEPs and major organizations have called for European leadership in health, addressing inequity in Europe and bridging health, research and innovation. A European Council for Health Research as a multi-stakeholder platform could be a first step. Panel members will discuss potential scenarios on the road to a European Health Union.
