Case description

The right recurrent laryngeal nerve passes through a tunnel within the right lobe of the thyroid gland, I have to divide the thyroid tissues in the roof of the tunnel to clearly expose this abnormal pathway of the recurrent to be able to perform a total thyroidectomy, but my photographer unfortunately didn't clearly visualize it. It is actually a very rare case. Do you think that tunnel was made with an abnormal extention of Zuckerkandl tubercle??? I need your opinion my dear collaegue.
