Case description

Laparoscopic surgery is the gold standard for operative treatment of gallbladder diseases globally. This is usually done via the "duct-first" approach. However, when there is extensive fibrosis around the Calot's triangle, there is an increased risk of biliary and/or vascular injury. In these instances, as demonstrated in this video, a fundus-first approach is an option to safely conduct this popular procedure.
