Case description

In November 2011 we performed the first Minivideosurgery cholecystectomy with a 10 mm transumbilical trocar, 01 subxiphoid 03 mm trocar and 2.0 mm forceps passed directly through the abdominal wall, we also used 2.0 silk for ligation of the cystic duct (intracavitary node only with subxiphoid forceps) and cauterization of the cystic artery. The operation was performed on a male patient and maintaining the classic surgical times of laparoscopic cholecystectomy, using 2.0 mm and 2.8 mm instruments and 10 mm optics. The operative time was 25 minutes, and it was not necessary to introduce any additional trocar. Postoperative evolution occurred satisfactorily with hospital discharge 10 hours after the procedure. Minilaparoscopic clipless cholecystectomy with 02 trocars, and intracavitary knot with forceps, proved to be fully feasible, and more economical than the usual technique with 04 trocars.
