Case description

Lugol´s Stain. Chromoendoscopy involves the application of vital dyes that enhance the visibility of abnormal tissues. ˇ Intestinal-type carcinoma is common in old men, whereas diffuse-type carcinoma is comparatively frequent in young women. ˇ Diffuse-type carcinoma with worse prognosis is more malignant than its intestinal-type counterpart, with early invasion into the muscularis propria and the lymphatic vessel, and frequent metastasis to the lymph node. ˇ Compared with diffuse-type carcinoma, intestinal-type carcinoma exhibits high levels of proliferation and apoptosis, which are closely linked to high expression of fragile histine triad, phosphatase and tensin homology deleted from human chromosome 10, and mutant p53.
