Case description

Video by Dr Nikos Mattheos
Female patient 22 years of age in need of replacement of congenitally missing 12.

CBCT reveals significant bone dehiscence. Although bone height is adequate, bone width is too thin to allow for primary stability of an implant. The 12 site is exposed and then an autologous bone block is harvested from the left Ramous and fixed in the 12 position with a mini screw. Both donor and recipient sites are further augmented with xenograft (Bio Oss) and covered with resorbable membrane (BioGide).
