My adventure with custom implants in maxillofaxial surgery began in 2005, when I was the supervisor of a doctoral thesis in this field. Since then, numerous implants have been created, using various methods and materials. We have restored good facial appearance and single-vision function to many patients, working with a multidisciplinary team. I would like to mention Professor Piotr Loba, thanks to whom this success was possible.
