Case description

Implant Placement (Straumann 14mm NC SLA) in position 12. The implant site is compromised due to excessive resorbtion, mainly in the mid-buccal area. Implant is planed for restoration with a screw-retained crown, consequently the implant is placed in the appropriate prosthetic position and the site is augmented with xenograft and membrane.

Primary stability is secured through bone contact in the apical and coronal areas. Exposed augmented surface is approximately 40-45 % of total implant surface.

The implant is restored after a 3 month healing period with a screw retained crown.
