- Vasilios Tanos MD, PhD, Professor in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He teaches at St George’s Med School at Nicosia University and departments of Bioinformatics in University of Cyprus. He is working at Aretaeio Hospital in Nicosia as a consultant Gynaecologist and head of the Reproductive Medicine and Surgery. His special interest and research is in reproductive surgery and bioinformatics. He is the coordinator for the ECRES – ESHRE Certification for Reproductive Endoscopic Surgery, the Director of the European Academy for Gynaecological Surgery Nicosia Branch and one of the 3 Certifiers for GESEA program by the European Society of Gynaecological Endoscopy (ESGE). He served as Secretary General of ESGE, vice president of the Middle East Society of Gynaecological Endoscopy (MESGE) and coordinator of the Reproductive Surgery Special interest group in ESHRE. He published more than 300 articles in international scientific journals and books and web video presentations.
