Case description

What does a medullary sponge kidney look like? A 29 year old woman presented with multiple bilateral renal stones scattered in different calyxes (much larger calcifications than a nephrocalcinosis) and was referred for a PNL procedure. Metabolic work up results were in normal limits. Family history was positive in her uncle for recurrent nephrolithiasis.  Due to scattered pattern of stones she was offered felxible ureterorenoscopy .
