The Transperitoneal Adrenalectomy - Laparoscopy

The transperitoneal laparoscopic adrenalectomy is presented in this material. Laparoscopic adrenalectomy is considered the gold standard for the surgical treatment of small adrenal tumors. At present, four different surgical approaches are used for laparoscopic adrenalectomy. These are anterior transperitoneal approach, lateral transperitoneal approach, lateral retroperitoneal approach or posterior retroperitoneal approach. All of these approaches have a various advantages and disadvantages, and good result may be obtained with any of them. Therefore, the approach should be selected according to surgeon's preference or depending on patient's circumstances.
