Case description

A young patient diagnosed with a 3 cm calcified mediastinal mass was proposed for thoracoscopic resection. A single-port thoracoscopic approach was performed through a single 2 cm incision on the right side. The calcified mass and the thymic gland was completely removed en block by using thunderbeat and cautery. The patient was discharged home after 36 hours of surgery with excellent recovery and no pain.
