Case description

A 75-year-old female patient with an anemic subcardial tumor was admitted prior to this surgery for staging laparoscopy, confirming that the disease was locally advanced but resectable, so in the second stage she underwent laparoscopic radical total gastrectomy D2; a Roux-en-Y reconstruction was performed with a hand esophagojejunal anastomosis by laparoscopy and a hand enteroenteric side-to-side anastomosis of the loop foot by transumbilical assistance for exteriorization of the surgical specimen; a laminar drain was left at the level of the surgical bed, duodenal stump, esophagojejunal anastomosis and splenic cell.
