Case description

This video presents endoscopic transaxillary parathyroidectomy, which is minimally invasive approach to parathyroid gland removal that avoids a scar on the neck. With this approach, the incision is placed under the axilla (arm pit) so that it is in a hidden location. As with all of our parathyroid operations, intraoperative PTH monitoring is utilized and patients are discharged the same day of surgery.
