Case description
Female patient, 63 years old with a history of type 2 diabetes, exposure to biomass for 130 hours/year, with data of MRC 3, dyspnea, with intermittent dry cough, initially assessed by internal medicine with evidence of submassive pleural effusion, thoracentesis compatible with Light criteria exudate, chest tomography was performed with evidence of pleural thickening and chest USG showed nodularity, thickening at the diaphragmatic level and whirlpool sign, so it was decided to perform medical pleuroscopy.
