Case description

This is surgical repair on a forearm grinder injury done by Dr. Pedro Santos in Mozambique and assisted virtually by Dr. David Kulber at Cedars Sinai in Los Angeles. This was a grinder injury to the forearm avulsed tendons to index finger and median nerve injury. The nerve was repaired and tendon graft with palmaris tendon to index finger. A VAC sponge was applied. There will be definitive closure in a few weeks when the swelling goes down. The patient may possibly need a skin graft.
