Case description

The most recent evidence now shows that in a large number of infants, that have a high-risk of developing peanut allergy, the protection from peanut allergy at age 5 years can be achieved if they get to eat peanut often, especiallly during the early 11 months of life.
In a study lead by Prof Gideon Lack at King’s College London, called LEAP (Learning Early About Peanut Allergy), and recently published in the New England Journal of Medicine - it has been shown that eating is an effective way of preventing certain food allergy. It is groundbreaking in that this study goes against previous recommended course of action!
