Case description

This is a short video showing Upper pouch dissection during Thoracoscopic Repair of Esophageal Atresia with Tracheo-esophageal fistula (TREAT).
Upper pouch dissection is a crucial step during repair of EA-TEF.
Step includes location of upper pouch with its crucial separation of medial wall from the adjacent tracheal wall.
This step is critical and if not done properly may cause tracheal rent or esophageal wall damage. It also helps to rule out an upper pouch fistula.
The following video shows this all-important step of dissecting and separating the upper pouch.
