Case description

Lingual tonsils (prominent lymphoid tissue aggregations of the tongue base) are presented in this clip. Ongoing infection is indicated by sloughs tissue in the pits of its surface (the tiny whitish spots). The most common symptoms are pain in the throat and uppon swallowing.
