Case description

The laryngeal movements upon laryngeal crepitus assessment are presented. It is commonly performed as a part of clinical examination of the larynx. Prominence of the larynx is hold and moves sideways against the cervical vertebrae posteriorly. Aa grating sensation (called crepitus) is felt rather than heard by the examiner and is physiological. The absence of crepitus may suggest pathological lesion - it should be diagnosed.
