Case description

Stevens-Johnson syndrome [erythema multiforme] is an immunologically mediated syndrome comprising the triad of cutaneous lesions [erythema multiforme], stomatitis and conjunctivitis. This photograph shows the typical crusted swollen and hemorrhagic appearance of the lips in Stevens-Johnson syndrome. An intact vesicle is visible on the left side of the tongue.
