Case description
In this patient, and area of leukoplakia has developed on the dorsum of the tongue. Candidal hyphae were seen in the histological specimen. There is not a reliable clinical appearance that enables the examiner to differentiate between Candidal and noncandidal leukoplakia. Histology, as always is the critical diagnostic feature..
