Frostbite Induced Ossification of the Auricular Cartilage
Case description
This soft tissue radiograph of the pinna of a patient who experienced severe frostbite many years previously revealed extensive calcification throughout the posterior superior portion of the auricular cartilage. This was clinically manifest as a rocky hard pinna.
