Case description

In rare cases of keratosis obturans the continuing accumulation of keratin squames enlarges the plug in the external auditory canal and exerts pressure on the surrounding bone which over time may become resorbed as seen in this case. In this patient over time the continuing pressure has eroded into the mastoid bone of this left ear.
