Case description

The function of hamstring muscles is to flex the knee and assist in the extension of the hips. There are three hamstring muscles: biceps femoris (long and short head), semitendinosus and semimembranosus. These muscles are innervated by the tibial division of sciatic nerve with exception to short head of biceps femoris which is supplied by common peroneal nerve.
