Unusual Bursitis of the Elbow - Video Lecture
Case description
The olecranon bursa lies in the posterior aspect of the elbow between the olecranon process of the ulna and the overlying skin. It usually exists as a single bursal sac or in some patients, as a multisegmented series of sacs that may be loculated in nature. Author presents for examples of unusual cases of olecranon bursitis: multi –loculated, combination of olecranon bursitis and deep elbow joint infection, necrotizing fasciitis, combination of olecranon bursitis and other types of bursitis. In the video, we are presented with patients with various types of bursitis. Each type is briefly commented, explained, treatment methods are presented. Diagnostic methods are also discussed.
