Case description

Pain can originate from structures within the hip joint or from surrounding structures. The most important step is to ask the patient to locate the site of pain by pointing to the exact area. When a patient reports hip pain, it does not necessarily mean the pain is coming from the hip joint itself. Instead, it could be referred to as pain from nearby structures.
