Case description

A case of trauma accompanied by rupture of sphincter and dilatation of the pupil. There may be subluxation of the lens since the anterior chamber is deep. A 2 mm half thickness incision is made in the cornea close to the intended place of filtration track formation. The conjunctiva is pushed to the limbus and an anterior chamber filtration track is made with Fugo plasma blade tip of 200 micron size. Now the anterior chamber is opened with a diamond knife and the size of the incision is about 2 mm. Miotic is injected in to the anterior chamber, but it has no effect on the pupil. Peripheral iridectomy is done. The anterior chamber is irrigated to wash out the pigment and debris. Air is injected from the side port. Conjunctival hole is sutured.
