Case description

Degenerative cervical spondylosis (DCS) with radiculopathy and/or myelopathy is the most common indication for cervical spine surgery. Anterior cervical microdiscectomy followed by spondylodesis is regarded as a golden standard. The comparable clinical results can be obtained performing arthroplasty by implantation of mobile cervical disc prothesis. This kind of procedure is shown on our film. We use a very modern implant built of PEEK. This implant is effective, easy to use and in contrary to titanium implants it gives no artefacts in control MRI examinations.
