Case description

Arteriovenous malformation of the spinal cord is an unusual and dangerous condition. In the movie we can see large AVM with many branches, stretched from D3 to D7 (which were totally removed). A 27-year old man was paralyzed 5 years ago from the waist down. Patient, because of the risk are in hopes for spontaneous cure, put off the intervention till now. Before the surgery the patient suffered from spastic paraplegia. Man started to move his toes and bend his hip by the forth day after the operation (8/03/2010). There is a hope for a full recovery, any progress will be reported.
