Case description

Uterine inversion, which involves the collapse of the fundus of the uterus into the uterine cavity, is an extremely rare life-threatening obstetric complication with an incidence of one in 2,000–8,000 deliveries [1]. Achanna, S, Mohamed, Z, Krishnan, M. Puerperal uterine inversion: a report of four cases. J Obstet Gynaecol Res 2006;32:341–5. https://doi. org/10.1111/j.1447-0756.2... in Google Scholar.

A second-degree acute inversion managed with combined abdominal and vaginal approach was for repositioning. Vaginally, Johnsons maneuver was used in corroboration with abdominal attempts.
