The video presents a novel approach to repairing a lateral paravaginal defect which leads to cystocele development. This extraperitoneal (preperitoneal) approach has its advantages and can be performed in patients with comorbidities and also on obese patients. The main advantage of this procedure is that it doesn’t involve the pneumoperitoneum and the Trendelenburg position is rendered unnecessary.
