Case description

A Phrygian cap gallbladder is a congenital anomaly where the gallbladder fundus folds back upon the gallbladder body. It is asymptomatic and has no pathological significance. It can be identified on ultrasound, CT/MRI, or cholescintigraphy. The Phrygian cap is named after the soft conical cap associated with the inhabitants of Phrygia in ancient Anatolia.
